Dendrobium 'Thai Pearl' (Variegated Mini)

Dendrobium 'Thai Pearl' is a miniature variegated Dendrobium orchid hybrid (Dendrobium Lloyd Stainton × Dendrobium Mini Pearl, registered by Suphachadiwong with the RHS in 1992). Yellow-margined leaves with purple splashes make this orchid striking even when out of bloom; in summer it produces clusters of small purple flowers. An easy-to-grow mini that thrives in intermediate conditions.

Grower's choice: All plants are hand-selected for health. Photos are representative of current stock — variegation pattern, size, and growth count will vary from plant to plant.

Care:

• Light: Bright, indirect light. Morning sun is welcome; avoid harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch the variegated leaves.
• Water: Water once a week — drench thoroughly in the sink and let it drain fully. Reduce to roughly every 10 days in winter dormancy.
• Feed: Dendrobiums are heavy feeders. Use a balanced orchid fertilizer at roughly half strength twice a month during active growth.
• Medium: Coarse orchid mix — fir bark, charcoal, and perlite. Repot every 1-2 years when the medium breaks down.
• Temperature: Intermediate — comfortable in typical home temperatures (65-80°F).
