Hoya curtisii — a delicate trailing species from Southeast Asia with small, almost-pointed leaves silvered with metallic flecking. One of the smallest-leaved species in common cultivation; ideal for shallow bowls or small hanging displays. Drought-tolerant once established and flowers reliably in summer with delicate green-yellow umbels.
Also known as: Hoya aldrichii (sometimes conflated); the Tiny-Leaf Hoya.
What you'll receive: Choose your form above. Grower's choice unless otherwise noted in the variant selection — we hand-select a healthy specimen; exact size, leaf count, and patterning vary between individuals.
- Unrooted cuttings & newly rooted plants: potted in our rooting medium (moss petals, perlite, tree fern fiber, small Orchitata, myco). Cuttings can be shipped bare/in damp moss instead — message us at the time of order if you'd prefer that.
- Established plants: potted in tree fern fiber, perlite, coconut husk, myco (occasionally moss petals), with slow-release 14-14-14 fertilizer balls.
Care:
- Light: Bright, indirect
- Water: Slightly underwatered; let dry partway between waterings
- Humidity: 50% tolerated; 60%+ encourages stronger leaf expression and faster growth
- Peduncles: Don't disturb flower spurs once they appear — Hoyas rebloom from the same spot year after year
Insulation and/or Heat Pack strongly recommended for shipping when temperatures drop below 50°F.
